Nuwara Eilya means " the cloud" it producing at the highest area in Sri Lanka, around 2,400 meters. Nuwara tea leaves are slightly dark red and are called the champagne of tea. It is characterized by a slightly sweet taste and is a relatively affordable tea.
Nuwara Eliya一詞為「雲端上」之意，為斯里蘭卡海拔最高產區，約生長於2,400公尺處，努瓦拉茶葉片略帶暗紅色，被稱為茶之香檳。帶有些微甜味為其特色，是價格較平易近人的茶款，茶湯色澤不似阿薩姆般深紅，是容易入口的茶品。
